buying course when signed in to moodle was created by Jordan Wolff
I am using Joomla 1.5, moodle 2.0, with joomdle tied with virtue mart. I am wondering if there is a way for a "student" to buy a course from inside moodle when they are logged in through the virtue mart. Right now when you click on a course when you are signed into moodle (that you have not bought) it says you cannot self-enrol but does not give an direction on how to enroll.
Any suggestions or solutions?

Hi there,
Currently there is no method to achieve this through Joomdle. Joomdle is primarily a Joomla application and integrates to the various Joomla extensions. There are hooks for Moodle but this is for configuration.
You may be able to achieve this by customising the Moodle code to create links across to Virtue Mart. Perhaps on the Moodle enroll edit the html template by inserting links. I have not done this nor even played with it, but it would be possible. You may wish to ask over at moodle.org how to customise the various Moodle interfaces to insert URL links.

Hi.
If you have enabled the joomdle enrol plugin for the course, you should see a configurable message that can be used to direct user to shop, instead of the "you can't enrol message".
From www.joomdle.com/wiki/VirtueMart
Enrol message: A message to show to the user if he tries to access the course without having paid. You can include the string BUY_COURSE_URL to show a link the the product page in Virtuemart.
This is configured in moodle admin->Plugins->Enrolment->Joomdle

Playing around with the information you provided, it looks like you have to manual set up the information. You have to enable the joomdle in the admin-->enrolment, then manually do it in each individual course, you have to put a price and I leave the select "NO" to paypal because we are not using that method of payment.
Is that correct ?

Now I know I am getting picky here...
My information says.. You have not yet purchased this course. To enroll please visit restaurantbarinstitute.com/index.php?pag...ption=com_virtuemart .
Instead of the URL, can I get it to say "Click Here"

Yes, you are correct with the set up process.
No, at the moment you cannot change the text of the link.
Will write it down to consider inclusion for a future release.
