[Closed] no XML set up file in package was created by Deborah Orton
I have downloaded Joomdle 0.6 from the Joomdle site to install with Joomla 1.5.23 stable package. When I select the zip file to be installed using the Joomla Installer, it tells me there is no XML setup file in the package.
How do I set this up manually? I can find no instructions on how to install this on Joomla other than using the installer. What files should go where?
Any input would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Tyke
RESOLVED; I started unpacking the zip folder and started looking through them. I found another zip labeled Joomdle-Joomla Package and saw an install file in it, so I went back to the Joomla installer and uploaded it and all went well. Do not know what the Moodle files are for yet - going to the Moodle side to start on that side now.

Glad to hear you found the issue.
Joomdle has an installer for Joomla and corresponding Moodle files. On the Moodle side, there is a set of files for Authorisation and Enrolment. I would recommend you look through the Wiki for installation instructions - this is explained there.

Thanks Chris.
I have Joomdle installed now and it works great. I hadn't realized that there would be two aspects, i.e. setting up Joomla and setting up Moodle. A case of wrongful expectations on my part (i.e. one click set-up and there it is - done).
However, I do have it installed now. The installation instructions were very clear and very straightforward, and went forward without any difficulties, once I realized I was actually going to have to do some things on my part to set it up :silly:
Thanks again.

Excellent. Yes this is a little different than installing a typical Joomla extension or Moodle plugin as we must prepare both platforms for data sharing. Good luck with your implementation.
