[Solved] Community Builder avatar sync was created by Mircea
Hello and Happy New Year!

Just a short question about this new feature: i don't know which field should i choose to map CB avatar within Moodle, i don't see any "image" or similar field available in list.

Hi there,

I have not actually used the CB avatar feature since Antonio included it in this latest release.

Just to check, I assume you have installed R0.7? I will load up the the latest CB to have a look over the next days or should Antonio return from holidays before than, I am sure he will reply too.

Hi there, I just got back home ;)

You don't need to map any field to have the avatar synced, it will (should) do it automatically.

Unfortunately, it doesn't..tested with two different accounts, same situation, avatar is availabe in CB, but in moodle i only see a smiling face icon :)

Try this:
- Change avatar in CB
- Go to backend->users, edit user and save it.
- Check Moodle avatar.

Thank you, work fine for me as superuser, how about regular users? i removed the avatar then i added it again. Work only if i update the account in backend..but users doesn't have access to administration area.

Did you install and enable the CB joomdlehooks plugin? CB does not user regular Joomla events, so this is needed.
When you install it, it should sync the pic when you update your profile from front-end.

yes, the plugin is installed and enabled (work fine filling other mapped fields, except the avatar)

Did you upgrade the plugin to the R0.7 version?
I just tested locally and it is working fine for me, so I don't know what may be happening at your site, sorry.

Ups...you are right about the plugin, i didn't update it till now. Work fine now, sorry about that :blush:
