First I want to say thanks for all the work you guys have done. I can't imagine how I could consider building my site without Joomdle. If I could solve the problem on my own, I would certainly not ask for a moment of your time.

I have joomla 2.5 and moodle 2.2 up and running on AWS with bitnami ubuntu stacks and images. They seem to be configured properly. Joomla and Moodle are sharing data- I have not yet tried running moodle in a wrapper.

Now, I'm trying to add community builder to the mix. I am in Asia where many social sites are blocked. So, if I want my students and teachers to be able to talk to each other, I need to provide the service. But when I try to install the Joomdle extensions and hooks, they fail.

JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file

for plug_joomdlehookscommuntybuilder and plug_joomdle_cbmycourses

Thanks in advance for your help. Please be patient with me. I barely know my way around a server, and the bitnami/AWS stuff is completely new for me. So, finding files and folders on the server takes me a good bit of time.

When I get this working, I will move on to adding hikashop, bigbluebutton, openmeetings, bookmarking, comments, and language translation stuff. I also plan to use google analytics, google apps, google mail, and desk.com for helpdesk. I think then I will have the best of all worlds for non-conmercial products. I welcome feedback and recommendations regarding the other things I would like to use.

Hi there,

When I first read the subject it seemed a pretty simple fix to me. But then you say Joomla and Moodle are sharing data - with Joomdle? What do you mean by sharing data? If already sharing data, then do you still need a Joomdle?

Assuming Joomdle is not installed already, and you are getting this error message when you try to install, then it just means that you are trying to install the joomdle package zip file rather than the joomla installer zip file. Unzip the file to a directory and in there you will find a joomdle joomla zip file installer and folders for different versions of moodle.

Hi.

You need to install the CB plugins from inside CB extension manager, as CB manages its own extensions.

Thank you very much. It's all installed, but not yet configured or tested.

Sorry, I could have been clearer in my description. I have joomdle working with joomla and moodle. The problem was installing the hooks for working with community builder. Antonio got me going in the right direction. I am so grateful to have you guys helping me.
