That is weird, never saw it.

How can it be succesful if it did not find the package? Did you try reinstalling?

I tryed to reïnstall, now I get the following message in Joomla, again at the same time:
Another menu item with the same parent has this alias
Error building Admin Menus
Installing component was successful.
If I got to:extension manager->Manage-> i see all the joomdle components, modules etc
I also find them in the plug-in and module manager.
Should I enable or disable something????
However: NOTHING to find in the site Site Control Panel, no component menu or dashboard,
so i cannot config the joomdle component
(cleaned my cache etc, looked for warnings, but no weired things)

Any ideas???
regards
Geert :)

This seems to be a Joomla problem.

Try the solution given here:

Solved!!!

First I would like to thank you for the support!

But (sadly) nothing worked.
So I decided to give it a last try: clean my root on the host completly, new install of Joomla (2.5.1) and Moodle(2.2.1), not by simple scripts or whatever, but manuel.
then install joomdle for moodle; no problem
then install joomdle for joomla, by the default "upload and install"; agian errors.
However, if install from the "install directory" it worked fine!!! at least , the system check tells me, and I find the joomdle component at components-> joomdle.

Now I can start with the project. :)
Regards and thank you again :
geert
