[Closed] HikaShop Integration was created by Frits Jongbloets
Hi,
I am using Joomdle for the first time, it took some time to get it working as you can see in an earlier topic .
Now I can view Moodle courses in my Joomla site and it seems to me that buying a course with PayPal is also working. Yet I do not intend to use the direct method with PayPal: I would like to integrate Moodle/Joomla with HikaShop.
I think I did follow all directions in your manual as stated here . Unfortunately when I set up a menu item in Joomla, pointing at the HikaShop category id for Moodle courses, the page shows no courses. I made a test with another category in HikaShop, not connected to Moodle and HikaShop is running fine.
I hope someone has some suggestions for me to solve this.
Kind regards, Frits

Just thought of it now: I'm using the free version of HikaShop. Maybe I should upgrade?

have you in the joomdle config clicked on the "Shop" tab and activated the "Sell on Shop" for the Course?
I also found that you cannot define you own "Code" for a course in Hikashop but must use the "ID" number for the course in "Shop" listing(s) as the code in Hikashop.

Hi John,
- assign one category in Hikashop for all Moodle courses;
- make a menu item for this category;
- and by doing so, show all courses without creating products in Hikashop.
So that is what I tried to do. Your answer made me take a look at individual courses. And now I succeeded in assigning a single course to a menu item.
This is a great improvement. Assigning a category as a whole wold be nice-to-have, but certainly is not essential for this project.
Thanks for your help,
Frits
