I can confirm that a fresh install of both applications with Joomdle - AND Jomsocial prior to installing Joomdle - results in useruploads from Moodle working correctly.
I can also confirm that attempting the same with an existing Moodle instance and new Joomla only did NOT work correctly. It required everything to be fresh.
