Proper install procedure? was created by Alfonso Perez
Hi,
Couple of newbee questions.
Do I install Joomla or Moodle first?
Do I install Joomla at Doc Root (/var/www) or in a Sub of Doc Root (/var/www/joomla)?
Do I install Moodle at Doc Root (/var/www) or in a Sub of Doc Root (/var/www/moode)?
or Both in separate subs (www/joomla www/moodle)?
And how is best or easiest?
Thanks

To be honest all are OK, it more of what you want. That said the typical think to do is:
- Install Joomla in your www
- Install Moodle in a subdirectory such as courses, school, whatever. Most install in moodle but that is easy to guess for hackers
- I always start with Joomla first only because 1) I am more familiar with Joomla, 2) I consider it to be my world and moodle just a subset of it.
The choice is yours
