Hi Antonio, Chris,
in Joomla I'm able to select the courses from Moodle; I can see the difference between a user enrolled in one course and not in an other one (first one is clickable). When clicking on the course.. the login screen of the Moodle environment appears; unable to login.

User authetication set to Joomdle in Moodle

so the user is synchronised, enrolled in the course... what can be wrong..?

The funny thing is that sometimes it works fine; able to click on the course content and nicely get the pdf or youtube..<Most of the time however it is not working...

Joomla! 2.5.14
Moodle 2.5+ (Build: 20130606)

Thnx for your advise

It sounds like you SSO is not working correctly. If you are logged into Joomla and not logged into Moodle then either SSO is not working or there is no user in Moodle yet.

First check your system health to ensure everything is green.

Next check the users in joomdle to see if they appear in both Joomla and moodle. Then test your SSO. What happens?

Hi Chris;
indeed it was de SSO.
In the system health the final check was not green; the language setting in Moodle of the Joomdle plugin was set to "english" in stead of "en" (I just happened to read Antonio's reply on my post from 2 months ago).
Corrected this and..it works fine!!

Users created in Joomla do appear in Moodle. Some fields are not filled, like City, but as long as the authentication of this user comes from Joomla/Joomdle this should be all right.
So finally it works ;)
Thnx for your support!!

Glad to hear it is working now. For those additional / empty fields, you may wish to look at one of the Joomla registration profiles (CB, Jomsocial, Joomla extended registration, or the e-commerce shop if you are using) to capture the extra fields in Joomla. This way the user does not need to enter the profile area in Moodle, confusing them with another form.
