Issues on loading website was created by Chris
Hello,

I am using Moodle 2.5.1 on a joomla 3.0.3 Stable and I used joomdle 0.92 as a connector. My problem is that when I have modules on first page that get data from moodle such as course categories, courses, schedule, grades etc my site loads really really slow. When I deactivate the joomdle plugins everything works fast and fine. Any tip please?

Is moodle on the same server, same domain? Is the moodle database optimised? Where is the DNS in relation to both Joomla and Moodle - any extra devices to path through that could be slowing the connection down?

So basically you have a few areas to look at:
- Moodle database
- Connectivity between Joomla and Moodle
- Joomdle code itself

Given we do not hear a lot of complaints at speed, I would start with the first two.

Well, of course having Joomdle modules makes things slower: each module will make at least one call to Moodle, and that takes time.
If you put a lot of modules, and your connection between joomla and moodle is not very fast, you will notice it.
You can disable plugins one by one, to try to find the one(s) taking more time.
