Joomdle Web Services error was created by Raj
I am using Joomla 2.5.14 version.

Installation process for Joomdle was smooth. In the end, System Health, I got error Source IP. Then I added the IP given in General Config. Now, the error has changed to:

Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle

I have tried many things already discussed in forums but unfortunately no solution.

1. Website is NOT multi-language

2. I have triple checked installation documentation

3. I have also checked with host for any XMLRPC security issues

4. Visiting: website.com/index.php?option=com_joomdle&task=ws.server&format=xmlrpc
XML-RPC Error (1): Access Denied with IP Address

Now, I am not sure how to proceed further. All items are green except Joomdle Web Services.

Please help me!

This error can be caused by many things: incorrect url, missing http://, firewall or other security measures stopping connection (like Joomla security components), SEF components, Internal errors that cause XML output to be wrong.... Impossible to know from here.

Will Joomdle work with that error?

Or should I uninstall Joomdle?

Please advise

No it will not function properly. You will need to resolve the problem.

Disabling SEF URL from Global Configuration solves the problem.

I am using JoomSEF extension.

But, I also need Search Engine Friendly URLs. So now as problem is identified, what is the solution?

I have disabled JoomSEF for Joomdle extension only. Everything is green in system health check.

Will it work properly now?

Request to add in documentation so that it helps others like me ;)

It should do but the best to find out is try. As for SEF, yes this known which is why Antonio listed is above. There are a number posts in for the forum that talk about switching of SEF for Joomdle. Perhaps with some time somebody will right us the documentation for SEF so we can upload to the wikie :) Either that or build integration to work with the SEF extensions :)
