First of all: Thank you for the great Joomdle plugin. I really appreciate your huge effort.

I am using:

Joomla 2.5
Moodle 2.5
Joomdle 092

I am experiencing a few issues wich I am not able to solve. I think I followed strictly all wiki tutorials.

To sell the moodle courses I am using a virtuemart category link - add to cart system. No registration is required. But user has to fill out some custom billing information. Payment done trough virtuemart Paypal. All correct, payment is beeing confirmed without problems.

I want user to be erolled automatically in course after payment. And somehow it is working, but:

1.- A user is beeing created in moodle after payment and he is is also beeing enrolled into the course, But the user that is enrolled has no name, no details. In moodle, enroled into the course, and also in joomdle I can see a user without details (no name, no lastname...). Why is that, should I ask for user registration in Joomla before buying? Were is the registration information that the user should use to access the course?

2.- Is it necessary to activate "automatically create moodle user" in joomle configuration?

3.- I would like the buyer to get an email with his account details and instructions to enter the moodle course. How does this work? Do I have to achieve this in joomdle, in moodle, in virtuemart...?

4.- To sell the courses, as I said, I am using a virtuemart category menu, the user can access product details, add it to cart and buy the course. Is this correct or should I be using a joomdle menu?

I am sorry, I know its a lot of questions, but I think it is working fine, only I am missing something I can not figure out.
I would really appreciate any help on this.

Best regards

I am sorry, I put the post in the wrong thread. May I ask a moderator to move it into the right one?

Thanks for your kind words, we love that people find Joomdle useful.

Before anything else: do you have system check all green?

1- How are you doing registration now? I guess on VM, before checkout.
Did you configure VM as the additional data source and configured the needed plugins?

2- Yes

3- This has nothing to do with Joomdle. You would need to check this in VM/Joomla to see how you can get what you need.

4- Yes, that is correct.

Thanks for the answer.

System check are all green, yes. And users are created trough virtuemart, although they could also register through joomla login component.

Meanwhile I got it working. It was a matter of virtuemart, wich was not really registering the user in Joomla, the effect was that in moodle a strange phantom user was created and enroled into the course.

What I don´t understand is this: you say in your answer that "Automatically create moodle user" must be checked. Well the thing is I have it unchecked, and virtuemart, with joomdle, is creating the user in moodle. Yes, just what I need, but it is unchecked. I left it unchecked because I don´t need that everyone who registers in the web is also registered in moodle, just the people who buy the course.

So, it is working great, and only that doubt remains.

Thank you very much

You are right, If you don't enable auto-create users, only users who buy a course will be created in Moodle (when a user is to be enroled in a course, the user will be created if he does not yet exists)
