Sorry I posted in the wrong category earlier.

I was successful installing joomla 3, moodle and joomdle on my first try. I then I had to redo the whole site from scratch on the same Domain name so I wiped out my whole site and started all over again. On my second attempt i wasn't so lucky. I followed the exact same steps but this time i cannot get Joomla and Joomdle to handshake. In system check i get the firs three green check but i get the last 3 red x's. I am not sure what is wrong, I checked with inmotion hosting to see if my databases were corrupted but they assured everything was fine and that the problem is in the configuration. I am currently going through all the steps again to make sure I didn't screw up one of the steps. This is the video that i followed to do the configurations.

Thanks!

Jose

What is the error you get in the last item?

Hi Antonio,

the error i get on the last line is Recieved empty response from Moodle. I attached a screen shot. Thanks for replying.

I just checked the wiki and it says

Moodle Network authentication is not enabled in Moodle
You must enable the Moodle Network auth plugin in Moodle Admin->Users->Authentication->Manage Authentication.

I don't see Moodle Network authentication listed as a plugin. Is this what's causing the disconnect between joomla and moodle?

is MNet= Moodle Network authentication? I enabled MNet and I still don't get a connection.

Most probable cause is a connection problem between platforms: firewalls, DNS problems, anything that makes the server unable to connect to itself (assuming joomla and moodle are on the same server)

It can't be a firewall or server issues since it's the same computer i installed before when it worked correctly. Should I do a complete new installation of Moodle and Joomdle and try again?

Then re-check your configuration...maybe you forgot to include "http://" or have something mispelled.... if you are sure nothing has changed in server configuration since it worked, it sure must be some error in joomla/moodle/joomdle config.

Hi Antonio,

I re-installed moodle and joomdle and now I only get a red x on the last line. It say Source IP not allowed: 173.245.54.206
I added the ip to the joomdle plugin in joomla (internal IP address) but it didn't fix the problem.

How do i fix this? Thanks for all your help.

Add that IP to "Internal IP address" field in Joomdle config in Joomla.

I entered the IP address in "internal IP address" field but I still get the red x on the last line. Not sure why this is happening since it didn't happen to me during the first installation?

That's really weird. Double-check the entered ip, as this messahe can only mean that the IP address is different.
