Broken link on joomdle.com site. [solved] was created by Zy Danielson
This is my first night examining Joomdle. It worries me somewhat that the site isn't being kept up too date. There are also a lot of posts here on the forum going unanswered. In any case, in this page:
www.joomdle.com/en/features/selling-courses-online
there is a link that produces a 404. Picture attached.
If this wasn't the right place to post this, I apologize. I will learn the site better as I continue to study it.
{Edit 1} It seems the attachment didn't upload. I will try again.
{Edit 2} I swear I thought I posted this thread in Support > R09 Support. Sorry. I'm sure I'll get the hang of this. Perhaps a moderator can move my post to the right place?

Thank you for reporting the link error. I have removed the link altogether as Moodle is currently in the middle of re-organising their documentation thus no matter how we link it is likely to become broken anyway.
As for your other comment re-the site not being kept up to date, this is a community driven project thus we do require people to point out errors when they see one. That said, for the forum, I would differ on your assessment on unanswered posts. Aside from those posted over the weekend, these are the actually statistics:
Total posts (new topics): 2296
Total unanswered: 18 (I have removed those that do not require answers like experience posts, ticks and tricks, etc.)
Percentage answered: 99.2% If you include the Tips, Experiences, etc. there is another 10 making the percentage answered 98.8%
Note: The above numbers do not include those people who post on the back of others, keep threads alive by asking multiple questions one after another or require numerous posts to work their their problems whether they be Joomdle related or not. You will notice that many of the posts are a result of improper php settings, networking issues or Moodle installation problems. The statistics above include all of these without proper consideration.
I dare say 99.2% or even 98.8% is rather good considering this is a community project, many people do not help themselves by searching first, including proper error messages or even stating the version of products they are using and many of the posts are by developers / consulting companies who are charging for their services yet not passing any form of reward / incentive on to the Joomdle project.
The area that we do agree needs a little work is the wiki - which is the hardest to maintain. The challenge we have is that since Joomla, Moodle and Joomdle cross all issues related to both platforms, plus php, networking such as proxies, IP, firewalls, etc. it is pretty much impossible for us to have a 100% complete wiki. Even website is different and thus there are hundreds of configurations and issues that appear.

Hello Chris,
Glad to meet you, and very sorry for my impatience. It wasn't even an "assessment" ... my only excuse is a poor one: I'm an Aries! Ah well. I will work harder on the p-word  (patience).
Maybe I can help with the wiki after I gain more experience with all three platforms. I'm learning PHP and have been an Internet applications programmer since there was an Internet! ColdFusion has been my primary background in the last 13 years or so, but I'm finding PHP very robust, powerful, and most interesting.
I'm also very much a community person, so it's quite exciting to be here.
Sincerely,
Zy
