I am attempting to install Joomdle for Moodle on my production site online. I followed all the prerequisites and the instructions in Preparing Moodle 2 for Joomdle .

I am in the Installing Joomdle in Moodle 2.0 section for the second time. Both times, when I get to this section:

Configuring Joomdle for Moodle

Once these files have been copied to the moodle/auth/joomdle directory, visit Administration Menu → Notifications to complete plugin installation.

Then return to the Moodle Network Authentication section found at Administration Menu → Plugins → Authentication → Manage authentication. You should now see a new option Authentication Plugin called Joomdle, activate this plugin.

instead of seeing the Manage Authentication dialog, I get the following error: "Authentication plugin zoomdle not found." There is a Continue button, but pressing it doesn't do anything and the error on the screen remains unchanged.

One strange thing I noticed was that when I got this error on the first installation attempt, I removed the decompressed Joomdle directory from /moodle/auth and went to Moodle → Administration Menu → Notifications. It said "Your Moodle code is up-to-date!" without updating the database. I'm not sure what that means. But I went ahead with the 2nd attempt at installation, following the same steps as above. I'm still getting the same error.

I'm going to stop at this point until I get some advice. All comments welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Zy

Oh boy. Now I'm a bit embarrassed. I was reading over the above post and thought that I had misspelled "Joomdle" as "Zoomdle" in the error message. But when I went into my file manager on the site, I saw two directories. One was Zoomdle and one was Joomdle. I deleted the Zoomdle directory and moved the Joomdle directory outside the Moodle file path. Then I ran notifications and it updated the database. Then I moved the correct Joomdle directory back to /moodle/auth/ only when I did, Notifications, however, didn't update the database after moving Joomdle to auth.

I'm going to delete Joomdle and try to install it again. If it works without misspelling the name this time - - I'll show this thread as solved.
