Opening a Chat in Joomla front end. [closed] was created by Zy Danielson
I have a couple questions here.
Am I approaching this correctly? Is there a better way to accomplish what I'm trying to do?
Thanks in advance,
Zy
- The first involves theme.
I have a course called Council Chat. I have created a Joomla Menu Item as follows:
Academy > Council Chat
I use menu item type Course Details with Council Chat selected.
The first screen displays the course details in my Joomla theme. All looks good so far.
Then I click the Go to course button. The course displays as follows:
As you can see, my site has a dark theme, and the all white box around the course item doesn't look very good at all.
Plus the text inside it is barely legible:
Can you give me some guidance as to what CSS file(s) need to be modified and possibly what selectors?
. - When I click The Inner Circle link above, Moodle flashes inside my Joomla content area, then dissappears. I am left with Joomla void of content:
The chat is not opening anywhere, not even in it's own window like it does in Moodle.
Am I approaching this correctly? Is there a better way to accomplish what I'm trying to do?
Thanks in advance,
Zy

1. All Joomdle CSS is in components/com_joomdle/css/joomdle.css
2. Seems like a wrapper problem: check that joomla and moodle are on the same domain, and that you enabled Allow Frame embedding on Moodle

I'm going to mark this question closed. I didn't test further on this possibility. I found a Joomdle theme I like and am using that in an iframe instead of trying to control every little thing with my own menus, etc.
