I have just installed the latest Moodle 2.6.2+ and Joomdle 0.95 and it took hours with a number of errors that left me scratching my head. I feel it is vital that I share these, and ask the developers to update their instructions.

1. The paths in the documentation have been changed by Moodle (authentication not under users etc). These all need to be checked.
2. References to Moodle Network Authentication changed to MNet authentication.
3. The real issue though was that initially the system check failed in the Joomdle Web Services and trying to access Users and Course Requests and mailing lists with an error... XML-RPC Error (404): Unknown error.
All the posts suggested this was that the Joomdle service was lacking functions (verified by going into normal debugging mode in Moodle). My problem was that the functions available window did not have a scroll bar, so when I searched on JOOMDLE and copied all the functions in the window and clicked ADD FUNCTIONS I thought I had got all of them. But if you search on JOOMDLE again you will see there are more. I'm sure I am not the only one that has fallen for this.

Hopefully this will help someone.

G'day Antonio...

You have done a great job with your bridge and I will add a JED comment. Thanks so much for your work.

But what is a rather convoluted installation could be made so much easier by numbering the steps, and making the paths reflect the true paths. I know it is hard when Moodle keeps changing the goal posts.

Where you have an optional check that can be skipped (if not necessary), have a "go to step Number."
:cheer:

Hi Gordon.

I have been talking a look at our docs.

1. I haven't found any wrong paths. Maybe you looked at Moodle 1.9 notes?

2. There are no references to this for Moodle 2, although searching for this I found and fixed a typo :)

3. Added a note to remind users to scroll to get all functions
