mod_joomdle_courses missing parameters in Joomla 3 was created by innoads
Hello,
I am using latest Joomdle, Moodle and Joomla 3.2. On your wiki site www.joomdle.com/wiki/Modules under mod_joomdle_courses is shown that there are several display options i.e. Only latest courses (which I really need). But when I open the module that is installed with my Joomdle there are no such options available. Is this not implemented yet?
Thanks,
Andreas

Hello,
what could be the reason why the Joomdle User News View is not showing any news of the users courses, but when I switch to Moodle iframe course news forum it shows normally?
Thanks,
Andreas

I see you have a few issues related to Moodle data. Have you check the Joomdle system health check? Are all items green? Do you see any Moodle data, eg course lists, etc. Do you only have problems with specific users or all Moodle content?

On system health check everything is green. Moodle and Joomdle have been installed by Antonio.
When using Moodle within iframe the news are displayed correctly. The other Moodle data like course list or my events seems to be fine.
Do you thinkthe other question regarding mod_joomdle_courses could be related to the missing content data display?

OK so your system health check is OK. Then no, I would say the two problems are unrelated.
For the first you say you do not see the options. Are you sure you are looking at the correct module? (Joomdle courses and not Joomdle My Courses). The option for latest courses is just below the sort order parameter.
For news, which view are you using User Views or Course News? If course news, did you specify the course in the menu parameter?

You are right, sorry I mixed both up. Somehow I hoped the options could be available on My Courses module.
- For news, which view are you using User Views or Course News?
I am using menu item view User News.
I suppose the news content should appear in this div:
<div class="joomdle-newslist"> </div>

My Joomdle Courses. While it is does not make sense to show the latest courses since you have already enrolled in them for them to appear under My Courses you could:
1) Customer the module to include the option by copying from Joomdle Courses
2) Publish both modules on top of each other so it looks like they are one. ie my joomd courses followed by Joomdle courses. This would be the easiest and fastest way to move.
News:
- Yes it is a very simply module.
- I would first ensure 1) the user is really enrolled in the course you are expecting news from and that when you visit in moodle he does not see because the course is open to guests, and 2) there is news in that course.

- My Joomdle Courses: What I mean is to show the last X courses the user enrolled (not the last X courses of all available courses)
- User News: I was refering to the view "User News" (not to a module).
a) User enrolled in course: Yes
b) "when you visit in moodle he does not see because the course is open to guests": I am not sure what you mean, could you describe this a little bit, please?
c) News in the course: Yes

- My Joomdle Courses: what you want is not currently possible.
News: it sounds like you may have forgotten to allow permission do view discussions to the web service role, as described here:
