I have this same issue. Joomla is 3.3.3, Jomsocial has been updated to 3.2.1.3 and the mapping isn't working. I tried setting additional data source to both None and Jomsocial. When I send a user to moodle, it does NOT send their First and Last name over, and those aren't available in the mapping drop downs, so I can't add them. I really need to get this fixed asap as we're entering students into the system for the school year that starts in a few weeks.

Problem by me was connected to language and SEO parameters. What happens is joomla starts service in moodle which starts two service calls to joomla. The calls to joomla weren't working.

How did you fix it? I haven't customized anything core, especially not in joomdle. We are only using English and the stock SEO is turned on. I'm just wondering if the latest build of Jomsocial is the issue here.

I'm sure Antonio will come to your aid soon. Clearly you are experiencing a different problem than I was. Are you developing on the web or locally? Do you have programming experience? I used xdebug with notepad++ and a whole lot of error_log statements, and hours of single stepping before I figured out what was wrong. Good luck.

Not local, it's on a Rochen cloud server. Been running for a few years now. I upgraded from 2.5 to 3.3 and bumped jomsocial, but hadn't tested the connection to moodle till this week. The users come over, but with no name or email address.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. You might consider setting up a local testing / development environment in addition. It may be a lot of work to set up but it would enable you to better deal with problems such as this.

No problem. I was told today that the issue actually fixed itself. We had an issue with jomsocial where it lost its connection with the menu items linking to it. I fixed that yesterday and this issue righted itself. Weird.

Now we just have to figure out how to speed up moodle. It's just really, really slow.
