Upgrade to Moodle 2.7: manually removing joomdle directory?? was created by Maurizio Scibilia
Hello everyone,
I performed an upgrade of my Moodle version from 2.6 to 2.7. Joomdle is 0.9 and Joomla 2.5. Now my Joomdle Web Services check gives me an error "An unexpected error happened: 17038686: error/parametercannotbevalueoptional | ERRORCODE: parametercannotbevalueoptional" and the authentication gives problems. I've read other messages in this forum and the advice that had been given to them was to reinstall Joomdle on Moodle under certain conditions (sorry if I misunderstood). Considering how the uninstall option is missing in my Plugins Overview Page for Joomdle, should I do it removing the joomdle directory from moodle/auth? Or there is any other safer way??
Thanks in advance,
Maurizio

While I have not seen that error, perhaps Antonio has, if all you have done is upgrade your Moodle, technically you should be able replace the Joomdle directories in Moodle. Then review the Moodle configuration to ensure all your Joomdle settings are correct.
What error messages are you getting in the Joomdle system health check?

This is usually caused by incorrectly adding moodle functions to Joomdle service, instead of only joomdle ones.
You should delete and create he service again, including only joomdle functions.

Thank you both for your answers.
The error message is the one I've reported in my previous post "An unexpected error happened: 17038686: error/parametercannotbevalueoptional | ERRORCODE: parametercannotbevalueoptional" and regarded the web services.
So, trying to put together your words, I should delete my joomdle directory under moodle/auth (that seems the only way to remove joomdle from moodle to me), and then reinstall it, including just joomdle functions. Sorry if I look repetitive, but it sounds a bit weird to me to uninstall joomdle via ftp

No. that is not what you need to do.
In Moodle admin->Plugins->Web services, you created a service for Joomdle. That's the one you need to re-create, adding only joomdle functions.
You can also go to current service and delete non-joomdle functions, but you need to do it one by one, so the other option seems faster.
