Reverse JMoodle User Sync?

I started importing our students into our new website preparing for next year. The problem is that no students can login to our existing Moodle installation and we are not ready for them to use the Joomla installation.

Is there a way to remove them as Joomdle users so they can login to Moodle without any problem until we want them to have access to both?

If your users are Joomdle users (ie: they can log in fine from Joomla), their password is stored in Joomla, so in order to transfer them tobe moodle-only users you would need to:
1- Set their auth method as manual
2- Change their passwords, as they have no real password now in Moodle
