[Closed] Paypal billing customers after upgrade

This is more of an oddity...at this point. We've just updated:
Joomla from 1.5.23 to 2.5.8
Moodle from 2.0.2 to 2.4
Joomdle from 0.6 to 0.9
(Through all of the appropriate intermediary steps.)

Yes, I'm tired. BUT -- it is working and seems to be happy! And I'm brain-dead exhausted. (This has taken days and involved mostly missing Christmas...)

The site went live today (yeah!). I installed Joomdle this morning and was configuring it for a couple of hours. (Yeah, I know it shouldn't be that hard, but I had that weird 404 error on the System health and had to delete my web services and re-install and re-configure the user...and it took me a while to sort it out.)

My confusing problem:

As of this morning, we have started getting notices from Paypal that transactions are failing because they are duplicates of transactions that were processed a couple of days ago (before I took the old site down). They appear to have been 5 of the 6 most recent class enrollments. (Why 1 was skipped? We don't know.) They proceeded from the oldest to the most recent and then stopped. They were from 2 of 4 active classes. The only thing in common between the classes was the same teacher. The one who did not get re-billed was from another class with a different teacher. (Confused yet? I am...)

My hope is that since the most recent (about an hour ago) was also the most recent signup, that it was some odd hiccup and that it is done. We have not yet had any enrollments on the new system. We're running tests to make sure those are not going to double bill. (And that it is working...looks like it, but always good to actually go through the process...)

My question for you is: ever seen this before? Any thoughts on anything I might have mis-configured?

These poor databases have been through the wringer with this upgrade. But so has my brain.

Does anything about that bizarre scenario jump out and scream -- this is what it is? If it does, enlighten me, please?

It was so wonderful to see the site up and running today!

I am sorry, but I have not seen problems like you describe before.
Anyhow, I would bet it has nothing to do with Joomdle, but only with your e-commerce extension and paypal.
