Help! Joomla redirect problem

My Hosting company suggested i added a index.html page to my server root and i deleted mt htaccess file and now everything kinda runs ok I say kinda because I am no stuck with Moodle installation issues which i forgot i had. One thing after another haha.

Good. As per above, it did seem like a redirection / .htaccess problem. I am not sure about creating the index.html file however as when you want to run joomla (index.php) it will not be picked up. Perhaps I have forgotten something about where your joomla is installed.

yeah my joomla isn't installed in my root folder because i took the easy option from my hosting provider to do a 'one click' install and annoyingly the only option with that is to put it in a directory. In my case: /home

Now just got to get moodle working and i'll be merging the two sometime soon hopefully

Oh. Yes - don't use the one click options. At some stage you will certainly run into problems - IMO.

Apparently my hosting company didn't even know about the probelm even though they were offering the service. They've sent it to their development team but meanwhile i'm going to have a crack at installing moodle the manual way.
