Hello Chris and Antonio,

I've seen how active you are both on this forum, and it is really appreciated tho. I have a similar problem with my users menu tab under the Joomdle Component in Joomla.

Ref. and Similar thread here: www.joomdle.com/en/forum/r08-support/896...-search?limitstart=0

XML-RPC Error (404): Unknown error

I am getting it on this page: www.360aztecs.com/administrator/index.ph...m_joomdle&view=users

The interesting thing is, the users are shown in Joomla, Moodle and Jomsocial and everything works fine without any issues at all.

The reason I had to reopen this post is: I've been trying to find a solution online and/or here in this forum, the only thread I found is this one here that has that fix posted by Antonio. www.joomdle.com/en/forum/r08-support/896...-search?limitstart=0

When I applied the fix/hack, I am able to see the users page and navigate through it. But the other problems just started. I cannot access Moodle, from any where. Just blank screen in firefox and Error 500 on Chrome and IE9 or IE10. The Error 500 means there is a server configuration errors, which is not, it is a generic message that refers to a mesconfiguration and 99% of the time is a script issue. I reverted the fix and everything is back up and running!

First let me list the used core(s):

1- Joomla 2.5.9 Latest Version/Update
2- Latest Moodle Stable Release 2.3.4+
3- Latest Jomsocial Component and Plugins
4- Running on a fully Dedicated Server with the Latest Apache, MySQL and PHP Versions
5- Check System Health >> The status under Joomdle for all services are marked green and correct! [With the fix the last two gives me errors and moodle goes down on the main website with Joomdle wrapper integration or course view and server error 500 on IE and Chrome browers > blank page on Firefox]

Website is running on the domain name: 360aztecs.com

Note: Enrollment Key Option is Enabled in Moodle. That is the only thing I didn't disable since the site is up and running, it can cause us problems.

Steps I took to continue tracking the issue:

1- Disabled Joomla and Server's Cache
2- Applied the fix [Moodle Site went Down]
3- Reverted the fix [Moodle Site up and Running again]
4- Logged in Moodle backend as a Super User
5- Deleted the Joomdle User and Security Token
6- Recreated the User and Assigned a new Security Token
7- Logged back in Joomla > Components > Joomdle > Configuration > Applied the Token
8- Again Joomla > Components > Joomdle > Users > XML-RPC Error (404): Unknown error
9- Tried to apply the fix again [Moodle Site went Down]

And finally: I have checked every single user for illegal characters such as, symbols, commas, ..etc. Nothing! They are all good, and all the registration is made by Jomsocial.

Right now I reverted the fix again and everything is backup. I tried even to list the server ip in the Joomdle Configuration Page, but that doesn't help

My question is: Can that problem has something to do with Joomla, Joomdle, Jomsocial and Moodle being integrated and implemented together in one solution? Or is it only Joomdle? Since it is clearly getting affected only by: Moodle's > Auth > Joomdle > auth.php file?

Any comments and/or suggestions will be appreciated and thank you for your time.

Regards,
Joe

Thank for your thorough description and testing. I am afraid this one will need to wait for Antonio to return from holidays. I suspect there is a joomdle bug or patch needed because of changes in the newer versions of moodle.

Incidentally, I clicked on the link to your side and was not able to see any 404 errors.

If you get an error 500 when applying the fix, it seems like you are applying it wrong.

Anyway, last Joomdle release already contains that fix, so you can just upgrade and test it.

Hello Antonio and Chris.. I am so sorry I was out of town and just came back... and glad to see your both replies.

Regarding applying the fix wrong Antonio, are we talking as on the previous thread under > Moodle > Auth > Joomdle > auth.php?

Or there is something else I am missing.. I am using the latest built and release of the plugin and the component. Can it be a Joomla and Joomdle code bug?

Thank you again for the reply.

Also, question please.. I will uninstall totally joomdle from joomla and reinstall it fresh, will that affect my users? I have them synced to jomsocial and joomla.. so I assume they should show up under joomdle with fresh installation right?

Thank you again.
