Error message re joomdle in authetication manager

When opening the Authentication manager to authenticate joomdle on installation in Moodle I get the following error message
Any tips/tricks appreciated

Please let us know which versions you are using.

Its joomdle-0.9-for-joomla25

and

moodle-latest-24

I checked the code and can't find any pass-by-reference in that line.

Can you paste some lines around the affected one?

I can't find the 1468 line in the auth.php file when I check it in wordpad - its my lack of competence I know - can you help

PS I did ignore the alert telling me curl and ssl were not installed (or activated) - don't know if this has something to do with it?

You will need to use an editor that shows line numbers.
I don't use windows, so I don't know which.

using notepad Im told that there is no line numbered 1468

ie the error message was

Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in C:\xampp\htdocs\Moodle\auth\joomdle\auth.php on line 1468

I will now abandon this and try to reinstall joomdle in moodle
