[Solved] Jomsocial Integration Issues

I have installed from scratch
Joomla 3.03
Moodle 2.41
Joomdle 0.9
Jomsocial 2.84

I have been able to get Joomla to Moodle events to work. For instance creating a user in Joomla is creating a user in Moodle. Modules to show enrolled courses work in Joomla, etc.

However, I can't get actions happening in Moodle to work in Joomla or Jomsocial

1. First thing Jomsocial does not show up in the dropdown for Additional Data Sources in Joomdle? Why not?
2. Creating a user in Moodle does not create a user in Joomla, however I can force this within the Joomdle Users backend to "add users to Joomla"
3. Creating a course in Moodle does not create a group in Jomsocial
4. I can't test if enrolling in a course adds me to the Jomsocial groups since I can't auto create the group.
5. enrolling on a course does not show up in Jomsocial activity streams

I've added the auth, enrol and blocks sections to Moodle and tried to follow the instructions to the letter but the instructions are not always clear. The documentation still refers to older versions of Joomdle.

Any suggestions?

Hi Joe.

Joomdle for Joomla 3 still does not support Jomsocial. In fact, last I checked, Jomsocial was not ready for J3. Is it now?

As for 2: did you enable "sync users to joomla" and selected joomdle as the auth method when creaating the user in moodle?

Oh I must have missed in the documentation where Joomdle for Joomla 3.0 doesn't support Jomsocial. As for Jomsocial itself, this is from their website:

Since 07 January 2013, JomSocial 2.8 requires at least Joomla 2.5.6 or Joomla 3.0.2; however, full support for Joomla 3 is still a work in process and official technical support for this version is not provided. Support for Joomla 1.5 is only available in version 2.6 and lower.

Kind of vague but not fully supported. Since I'm starting from scratch I wanted to work with the latest versions of all the platforms but I guess I must go back to Joomla 2.5? I'd hate to do that. When will a version of Joomdle be released to support Jomsocial in Joomla 3.0?

As for the user creation your suggestion helped. I missed the setting the authentication method when creating a user in Moodle. I selected Joomdle and it works.

I have been working on this since you told be that Jomsocial was J3.0 ready, and the task is quite advanced. I hope to have it finished by the end of the weekend.
I could then send you a package for testing, if you want.
