Hello. This is my first time setting up Joomdle and websites.

I have some information from Moodle and Joomla copied below and also in attachments. Since I am new at this, I have no clue what is wrong. When you can, please let me know what settings I need to change to get this running. If you need to see any other information, please reply and let me know what that is and I will get it sent out as soon as possible.

I know that you are busy. Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.

Hello again.

One more thing.

My Joomla install and my Moodle install are on two different subdomains for testing: jaded.thestudyhub.net and portal.thestudyhub.net. I have shared hosting.

If this is the problem, let me know and i will try to work out with my provider some way to get them on the same subdomain.

I would like to use Joomdle, but if I can't get this straightened out, I guess I will have to use a manual enrollment scheme.

Thanks again for your time and assistance.

It seems for some reason your Joomla site cannot connect to the Moodle side.

Joomdle can work across diferent domains, so that should not be the problem.

Hello again.

I have continued to work on the problem and I now have the Web Services checking out, but the HTTP from Joomla to Moodle and Moodle to Joomla do not work. So I have 4 of the 6 working.

The hosting provider says there is no firewall or other security measure that would cause this.

I have attached a couple of screen shots. The Joomla version is 2.5.9. Moodle is 2.0.10.

The Joomdle version installed on Joomla is 0.9. The Joomdle version installed on Moodle is 0.7. Is there a newer version of Joomdle for Moodle?

Do you have any idea what might be causing the HTTP to fail?

Thanks again for your help.

Hi.

You are fine like that: the 2 checks failing are not important if the last one is OK. They are there only to help diagnosing when last one is failing.

You should install latest version in both sides (R0.9).

Hello again.

Ok. The instructions for the System Health Check did not say that I could ignore those two warnings. But before I continue with my configurations, I need to ask about version 0.9 for Moodle if you are saying that I need it.

At the link that follows, Moodle.org only has version 0.7 available: moodle.org/plugins/view.php?plugin=auth_joomdle .
It definitely says that. The filename is "auth_joomdle_moodle22_2008080183"

The 0.9 version is definitely available for installation on Joomla. The filename is "joomdle-0.9-for-joomla25". Since this says it is for joomla 25, should I try to install this in the Moodle application? If not, please let me know where I can download the 0.9 version for Moodle.

Thanks again for your help.

You are right. I will add some info to the docs.

As for versions: the joomdle-0.9-for-joomla25 package contains a folder called moodle20. There you will find R0.9 version of Moodle plugins.

As you really have all the needed files on this package, not many people reach the moodle plugins directory, and I
have not updated the info there in a while. Will do it for next release.
