Joomdle Users and other issues was created by Philomena
I am trying to set up a new website for our College. We have students and staff users in Moodle (originally coming from our Active Directory). The site also has Jomsocial to manage our Alumni, who will register on the front end of the site.
I have many questions
1. Can the student and staff users coming from Moodle login with their moodle Credentials or is it only the user name that is moved over to Joomla and Joomdle?
2. How can a student user interact with the moodle side? I can see the courses, I can enroll into a course. I can not see the anything past that. It actually directs me to our moodle website.
3. When I sync a user from Moodle to Joomla it puts them in the registered group. I want them to be put in a group called students or staff. Is this possible? Automatically or manually?
4. I am getting an error when I look at the courses module. I have attached a screen shot.

Hi.
1. No. We cannot read moodle passwords, so to migrate a user to Joomla/Joomlde, his password will be reset.
2. Joomdle provides some features, but for most of course tasks (quizes, assigmnets, ...) work is done in Moodle site.
3. No, not without changing the code
4. It seems an error with your server, as I have never seen that error reported before. It says mysql server has gone away....maybe some php limits problem?
