Joomdle and moodle 2.5 was created by Fernando Acedo
I'm testing Joomdle with moodle 2.5 and it fails in several ways.

- The languages folders must be renamed to: en, es, de, fr, ....
- The files menu must have $string = 'Joomdle'; to show the plugin name in moodle
- The new Add-on install from the backend fails in both: auth and enrol plugins
- The enrol folder is not detected by moodle and therefore it can't bne enable

I have the translation files ready if someone needed it.

God Bless ya!!` I've spent the WHOLE day trying to figure out what was going on here. I can't get into Moodle at all. I've tried it all, up to uninstalling and reinstalling at least five times today. I'm so frustrated.

If you don't mind, could you send me the files and tell me how and where to place them? I'm just learning how to Joomdle, and now this! :)

The main problem is that the enrolment files are not detected by moodle even using the manual installation.

This issue must be fixed by Antonio.

The lang folders are attached. Just unzip the file in the same folder.

File Attachment:

File Name: auth_joomdle.zip
File Size:8.1 KB

File Attachment:

File Name: enrol_joomdle.zip
File Size:7.55 KB

Hi Fernando. Thanks for the info.

I am not sure I understand, though:
- The languages folders must be renamed to: en, es, de, fr, ....

They are already like that, so not sure what you are changing.

Also, I installed Moodle 2.5 a couple of weeks ago, and Joomdle installed and worked just fine (auth plugin, did not test enrol one).

I noticed that 2.5 is official now, so I donwoloaded and tested again:
- Strings are ok
- Enrol plugin installs just fine

So, not sure what your problems may be Fernando....

Excuse me Antonio. My fault. I don't know why but was testing with moodle 1.9 files.

I created a new 2.5 fresh installation and tested Joomdle and it works well. I can install the auth and enrol files from administration without use FTP.

The only problem is that I can open moodle from Joomla but I get:

Joomla to Moodle HTTP connectivity > Joomla cannot connect to Moodle
Moodle to Joomla HTTP connectivity > Moodle cannot connect to Joomla

Since moodle runs well inside Joomla I don't matter but maybe you want to test it.

Thanks

This must be something cause by a different reason (maybe protection in your folders) becasue I have tested and it works just fine for me.

Thanks for the tip about the new feature to install files without FTP: I didn't know it :)

I think you may be right, Antonio. I went and reinstalled it from the site, and it's okay! My host is Netfirms, and I"ve been downloading it from their server. Apparently, I'm not the only customer having problems.

Loving the new feature, too!:)

Hi Antonio, I have installed Moodle 2.5 and joomla 3.1 and I got this error

Joomla to Moodle HTTP connectivity > Joomla cannot connect to Moodle
Moodle to Joomla HTTP connectivity > Moodle cannot connect to Joomla

When I created the users and tried to access through Joomla an error comes up.

Thanks

I got the same problem and was fixed removing Joomdle from moodle (using the new Plugins Overview option)

Then add the joomdle files in /auth and /enrol and it should work.
