Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin was created by Tony
Hi there!
I can't get rid of this error: Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin.
Using:
- Joomla 1.5.23
- Joomdle 0.9
- Moodle 1.9.19
In regards to the troubleshooting checklist, here are my findings:
Re-check your Joomla URL in Joomdle auth plugin configuration, in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle. => did, ok!
Make sure you include http:// => I did!
Check Joomla multi-language configuration and enter appropiate parameters in Moodle side if necessary => no multi-language
Check any mod_security rules that may deny XMLRPC traffic => do not know how to check this?
Disable any Joomla security extensions you may have installed => None installed
When I make this request:
www.resourcefnd.org/index.php?option=com...server&format=xmlrpc
I get this response:
500 - View not found [name, type, prefix]: joomdle, xmlrpc, joomdleView
The only reason I'm asking for help with this issue is beacuse I cannot set up profile fields mapping. When user get registered in Joomdle on the website, I see only emtpy fields (name,surname...) in Moodle account profile. I suspect this is related to this error above? Otherwise all is working fine!
Any help is highly appreciated!
Thank you!

The request you are making is for J2.5, not J1.5.
The right one would be:
www.resourcefnd.org/xmlrpc/index.php
Which does not give any errors, so I don't know what your problem may be.

Hi Antonio!
Thank you so much! Since everything is working fine so far, I think we are going to put this aside.
The only issue now we really have to deal with is field mappings.
Whatever I choose in "Additional data source" in Joomdle Configuration tab it does not offer me to set anything in Joomdle mappings tab.
What am I missing here?

What do you mean? Is system check all ok now? If not, things will not work fine.
You need to create the mappings, with New button.

D'oh sorry, just realized there is a "new" button in the mappings tab.
My other question is do we need to install any of these Joomla plugins/components (Jomsocial,Comunity builder, VirtueMart....) in order to setup mappings? Currently none of these components are installed in our Joomla.
Thank you Antonio!

The mapping function is to map fields from a joomla extension such as CB, Jomsocial, VM, etc. to Moodle fields. If you do not have any of these extensions you will not need to map and fields.

That tells us a lot. Thanks a bunch Chris! We decided to quit trying to fix Joomdle. It's a great plugin but setup causes lots of headaches. We are about to tweak Moodle so that it matches the website's look and feel and our plan is to use it as a stand alone app.
