Data mapping - transferred to Moodle, profile needs saving?

Hi folks,

We've got a Joomla!/Moodle site about ready to launch but we have one annoying glitch we can't bottom out.

We're using VM2 with data mapping, and all the fields are mapping into Moodle (hooray) but when the user accesses Moodle for the first time only, the city & country fields are highlighted in red, as if they were missing (but they are populated with the correct data).

If the user hits save, all is well with the world. Clearly we don't want this to happen!

Any thoughts?

If the fields are filled, it's really weird indeed! I have not seen that behaviour, nor do I have any idea of why it would happen, sorry.
