Moodle to Joomla HTTP connectivity was created by Ron Le Vine
I have searched the forum, but have not come up with an answer to my issue.

I am running the following:

Joomla! v3.1.1
Moodle v2.5.1
Joomdle .92

I did the system check and received the following results:

Check Status Error
XMLRPC PHP Extension - Good
Joomdlehooks User Plugin enabled - Good
Allow URL fopen - Good
Joomla to Moodle HTTP connectivity - Good
Moodle to Joomla HTTP connectivity - Moodle cannot connect to Joomla
Joomdle Web Services - Received empty response from Moodle

I am assuming that since Joomla can apparently talk to Moodle ok, that the fact that Moodle can't seem to talk back is probably not a server security issue. I am also assuming that the Joomdle Web Services error appears to be also due to moodle's inability to talk back that they are both related in some way.

Any thoughts on where to look? I went through the install step by step and although some of the steps were less than clear, I feel pretty good about the idea that everything is installed properly. However, it is also very possible that I misunderstood something in the process as well.

Thank you in advance for any help anyone may render in this.

With regards,
Ron

Moodle to Joomla HTTP connectivity - Moodle cannot connect to Joomla

As the other side works fine, this could be a permission problem in your Joomla folders, but it is not important, as these checks are only there to help debug the last one.

Joomdle Web Services - Received empty response from Moodle

This indicates some problem when connecting to web services, even if normal connection to Moodle is fine.
Maybe you forgot some configuration (enabling networking for example) or something else is causing the problem.

I'm having the same problem here with exactly the same setup.

Any suggested steps for trouble shooting?

I am having the same issue. I have double checked all the steps to make sure everything is enabled and set up properly. I've even reinstalled moodle into the joomla database and the same folder as joomla to remove any complications.
I still cant get the last two options to show GREEN...
Any insight would be helpful.

As Antonio has stated above, one of the primary reasons is network connectivity even if it is on the same server because your hosting company have setup an internal vs external IP address. The url maybe mis-configured. Do you have SEF? SSL? Any other form of url address changing?
