Joomla 2.5
Kunena 2.3
Moodle 1.9
NetFirms Hosting (But moving to Hostgator this week).
Hi,
I'm beginning to realize the true limitations of my hosting company, NETFIRMS. I loaded Joomla 2.5 with the intention of then loading the latest version of Moodle, which the hosting company shows it is available. After five attempts (uninstall and reinstalls), I learn that they had a glitch in their system, and they said it would be working shortly. That was last January. They're still saying that.

So, I went ahead and loaded the 2.5, my template and Moodle 1.9, which required me to 'dum' down my PhP to 5.2, which seems to also limit what I can do with Joomla?

Since Monday, I have loaded and reloaded Moodle twice a day, because it rejects my admin/password, even when I use their assigned password. I haven't had any other problems to date. I am able to load the modules, calendar, etc., but, since I can't get into Moodle, I'm not able to put in any content.

If anyone has a suggestion it would be greatly appreciated. I am planning on moving on to Hostgator on Wednesday, because now Netfirms is telling people their system won't accept domains "pointing" to them, which is another way of them saying, "We're ticked that you paid 0.01 for your domain, instead of our 9.99, so we're forcing you to pay the transfer fee.
I say, "Whatever." Cheaper for me to purchase a resellers deal, and make it available to my friends.

I would not install Moodle 1.9, so I would just change hosting company if they cannot support lastest Moodle.

Hi,
Yeah, already loaded 1.9, and taking it off today, since the newest glitch is having to do with Kunena. I can't load the latest version, because it requires a higher PHP version than Moodle will accept.
