stuck on XML-RPC Error (404): Unknown error

Hi,
i would love to integrate my moodle and joomla sites. They are on different hosts ( educatie.ict-voor-iedereen.nl is at avetica, http://ict-voor-iedereen is my joomla site with webreus)
Versions: Joomla! 2.5.11, moodle 2.3.2, and joomdle 0.92

I have been trying and checking for some time now, using the health check wiki info. And the systems check keeps saying everything is ok except the Joomdle Web Services. I keep getting the message XML-RPC Error (404): Unknown error. Not very informative, i know!

Anyone got any suggestions how to find out what is going wrong? I would be very grateful!

Are the XML-RPC libraries for PHP loaded and installed on your servers?

If so, do your servers allow remote connectivity? Many times different hosting companies or even different servers will not allow external servers to connect.

Also, maybe you are using the incorrect IP address for connectivity. You maybe have different external vs internal IP addresses.

If you enable debugging mode, do you get any additional information.

XML-RPC libraries for PHP are loaded ( or so the hosts say ; )
I used the external ip adress ( check from the internet, not from the network)

I have sent messages to check external connectivity.

now both my hosts are confused ; ) for now i have choosen to work with a wrapper. I'l get back to it when i have joomla and moodle on the same server or at least at the same host.
