[Closed] Auto create moodle users based on joomla user group was created by Leandro
Hi Antonio and Chris,
I´ve installed a joomla 2.5.16 with akeeba subscription 3.3 and moodle 2.6.
My joomla website have two users profiles, one that is just "registered" and other that is "registered" + " MoodleStudent " or " MoodleTeacher ".
As Héctor ( www.joomdle.com/en/forum/r08-support/935...n-joomla-user-groups ), I don’t want that my "registered" users have an account on moodle, just the ones that I mark on joomla groups as “registered" plus " MoodleStudent " or " MoodleTeacher ".
I tried to disable on Joomla->joomdle->configuration-> “Auto create Moodle users” to ON and all my new users receive an account on moodle, turned off no one receive, including the ones that I add the " MoodleStudent " group to it.
My joomla users groups are:
Public
|-Registered
|-Article Subscribers
|-MoodleStudent
|-MoodleTeacher
On Joomla->joomdle->configuration-> “ Joomla user groups”, Teachers group are linked to “MoodleTeacher” and Students group to “MoodleStudent”.
On Moodle – plugins->authentication->joomdle-> Use Joomla user groups is enable.
I will sell courses with akeeba subscription, as I can see on the joomdle integration, I can enrol and unenrol on moodle courses based on the subscription purchase and change user group to “MoodleStudent”.
I would like that once that the user (new or already registered) buy the course it receives a “MoodleStudent” group and at this moment it receive an moodle account and be enrolled on the desired moodle course.
How can I do this?
Thanks in advance,
Leandro

Hi there,
As you know this is not the current approach but I do agree it would be useful to have and can see the benefits this provides for operators. I have moved this thread to Feature Requests so we can think about how to make this happen in the future.
Also, you may wish to know that we may or may not further integrate Akeeba Subscriptions since support for the product will end in June 2014. Like all other integrations the demand will dictate the development of the integration.

I just read this and noticed you don't need anything new:
- You can use subscription software to set group
- Joomdle will create Moodle account if it does not exists, when it tries to enrol user
