Hi Guys,

First of, thanks for building Joomdle, I absolutely love this tool and think it has so much untapped potential! More on that later, but a quick question for now.

Instead of using the course listings generated by Joomdle, I'm using K2 items as to display course categories and courses (any plans for a k2 integration?). It is some what more involved, but I can make the course listings look much more impressive this way. You can see an example of the page here:

www.thedeeninstitute.com/courses-sp-396/...er-justise-and-islam

I want people to be able to purchase the course directly from here so I've added a "Enrol now" button which hyperlink the Paypal link joomdle generate for individual courses listings ( www.thedeeninstitute.com/courses-joomdle ) so ie:

www.thedeeninstitute.com/courses-joomdle/buycourse/10

What I'm finding is that it takes the user to paypal successfully and the user can pay for the course. but then they do not get auto enrolled onto the course.

I tested the buy via Paypal link directly from my moodle installation and it is working fine.

And if I created a Joomla menu type "Joomdle » buycourse" and link it to a course, that is also working fine, where the user gets enrolled right after the payment is complete.

Can you suggest how I could resolve the issue?

Many thanks,

Nabil

Hi.

Just wanted to let you know that I saw your post, but had no time yet to try K2 locally to see what happens. Will do when I find some time and get backto you.

As for a possible K2-Joomdle integration: can you tell us how you would like that to work?

Hi Antonio,

Thanks for getting back and you can make this a lower priority as I'm gonna try out hikashop starter to see how well that works. But would be good to know.

Add for the k2 integration, basically what I had in mind was when you link Joomla with Moodle, it basically auto creates k2 items consisting of the title and course description with an enrol link. Maybe linking the course instructor to the item author field too and link other data to extra fields

The the advantage being that people with be able to display the the course details in a much more fluid way as k2 has a ton of display configuration options.

Happy to chat about this more if you are interested.

I cannot really test the first issue now, as I don't have a Paypal setup ready.
But, it seems very weird, as the only thing not working is enrolemnt after payment, which should be independent on how we reached the page in the first place.
You may try using non-SEF links in your button, to see if that helps.
I tried the link you posted, and the enrol now button is taking me to front page.

As for K2 integration. I agree it could be nice, as I already know some people using it to display courses, albeit in a "manual" way.
I am moving this topic to Feature Requests, so I can re-take on it when I have some time. I will then contact you in case you want to help with design and/or testing.
