Quizzes in Joomla without Moodle Wrapper

Hi,

we want to integrate Moodle courses completely into our Joomla site.
Everything is working fine except the quizzes because they are opened in the Moodle Wrapper.
Unfortunately that's no solution for us because we need a full integration int the Joomla page.

Everything else is existing as an own Joomla content type. Is there something planned for closing that gap? Do you need any motivation? Can we support you here via sponsored development?

Hi.

This has popped up before, and I have even at some point started investigation on how this could be acomplished, but eventually stopped, as I guess more urgent things came in the way.

Problem is this is a huge task, as quizzes are propably one of the more complex subsystems in Moodle.
Thanks for your offer on sponsorship, but I think cost of this task would be huge, as lots of hours would be needed. Also, I can't dedicate those hours right now. as I don't have much free time in next month.

Hopefully in the future I can come back to this and try again. I will let you know if/when I do so.

Hi Rob, as Antonio has mentioned this is quite a massive task and one of the reasons we didn't build an entire quiz front end at first. ie We built a little quiz module to see if there was interest for something bigger and better. To help us further think and priorities if this is some thing we can do in the near term, it would be useful to know what type of features / scope you would be looking for. For eg:
- question types as T/F / MCQ is very different than Dag & Drop or Mix and Match
- random quiz questions vs fixed
- question pool vs course questions
- etc.

Hi,I will reply to that in a few weeks in detail, actually we styled our moodle in a way we can display it on our website without bigger design issues (it loos almost like normal content) - so we can do all the quiz stuff now. In general I can say I think we need all of the quiz stuff, because we have drag&drop questions, time limits and need the results to authorize participants in other courses.

I have the same problem. The titlles of the courses are in Joomdle, but when I go to my courses, There is a redirection in Moodle. I'm ready to donate for the work to do: the target is to stay in joomdle for the course itself and the quizz.
