[Closed] User Sync

Changing a username in Joomla results in a new Moodle user being created. Preferred behavior would have the existing Moodle user altered to match so progress is not lost.

Joomdle does not support username changing, as username is used to match Joomla and Moodle users.
While I guess a process could be developed to allow it, we have not done so yet, as we didn't see many requests about it.

If you need a username as admin, a workaround is to:
- disable joomdlehooks plugin
- Change username in Joomla and in Moodle separately
- enable plugin again

I will move this thread to Feature Requests, so we can try to add it in the future.

I am not trying to rush things, nor will I hold you folks to anything you say. I am just trying to understand a ballpark timing for that release so I can set expectations accordingly on my end.

I have 1.0.8 installed, and I am still getting the following error message if I try to change a username in Joomla: Is there something that I need to enable to make this work? Or should it just work as long as I have 1.0.8 installed?
