When you use MENU, NEW, MENU ITEM TYPE, JOOMDLE, CHILDREN REGISTRATION

I have set this up under a Teacher Menu that says, Register New Student.

Ours site uses community builder. Once the registration is completed by the teacher and the new student logs in... it goes to their community builder profile, which is fine, but then when they choose a course and and try to go that course it then takes them to the Moodle Profile, this appears to be because it requires a Surname as well as a first name. The CHILDREN REGISTRATION page does not allow you to add a SURNAME. Not sure there is a workaround for this unless we can make the surname field not compulsory, but then certificates wont print with the correct name on.

Any ideas?

Hi.

Joomdle will map Name field to firstname and surname, but for it to work correctly you must enter 2 words in Name field.
I guess you could do a simple template override to show a message to your users: Enter name and surname, or something like that.
Better yet would be to include a new option in children registration view, to require users to enter 2 words at least in the Name field. I am going to move this to Feature Requests forum, so we can add it for next release.
