I would like to request, if possible, the feature to allow subcategories in Virtuemart rather than have everything go into one category. Also to be able to add the fields which you can use in VM - e.g. photos and so forth - for categories. Ideally these could sync in some way with the Moodle categories perhaps?
As far as I can tell this is not currently possible.

Hi.
At this moment categories are not synced, but you are free to create categories in VM and assign the courses products to them.

That's great - all I meant is at the moment you say all courses are in xyz category by category ID number - it would be nice to be able to have some flexibility perhaps - not sure if it's necessary if it still works when the courses are moved to different categories in VM, which it seems you're suggesting they do?

Yes, they should work the same.
The configured category ID is just where courses should go at first, at we need a place to put them.
Then, you can move them to any category you want, as you would do with any other product.
