I think it's a good idea to provide a FORM in course details page to ask a question about the course, before the student enrolling/buying the course, which will trigger a mail to admin/teacher with Student detail and the Course details.

Today you can do this using the VM request product information. Does this work for you?

I have created a form in course details page to send a mail with user & course details like above screenshot and VM Request Product Information also working for me.
