Additional Configuration Settings / Fixes was created by Ron Wells
For Menu Item: Teachers ABC
1. If course is hidden in Moodle, do not show that teacher (unless they are also teaching a courses that is not hidden)
2. If teacher account is blocked in Joomla, do not show in list.
3. If teacher account is suspended in Moodle, do not show in list.
4. Option to show teacher bio next to their name on main page list.
For Menu Item: Course List
1. Italics HTML code is causing layout issues is course description. If teacher has italics html code in their course description <i> </i>, the description layout will be messed up in the Joomdle Course List page. Note is shows correctly in Moodle.
2. Option to show courses organized by category, then alphabetically list courses within category.
3. Option to show course title only (hide description). Clicking course title / link will take you to full course info.
Thanks,
Ron

Hi Ron. Thank you very much for your feedback. It's really good to have someone looking at the little details
I will try to work on the suggestions for teachers abc for next release.
As for course list: I will investigate 1.
3: I thought this was already possible, but i see it's not
Will add it soon.
2: not sure if it's the same as the "courses by category" view

Hi Ron.
I am doing some works on these items.
Already got 1-3 of teachersabc. For 4: do you mean showing the About me: contents in the list view?
As for course list, I added 3)
1- I tested adding italics, and can't see any problems. Can you provide a full description that is breaking things, to try to replicate it?
2- not sure if you want something like the "courses by category" view, or only showing courses ordered by ctaegory, but wih no category headings

1. Yes - About Me would work fine.
1. Whenever a teacher used the italics HTML commands within the Moodle description, it would change the alignment of the description so that the rest of the sentence would be vertical. This may be a browser thing - I was using FireFox...
2. Would like to see an alphabetized list of categories with an alphabetized list of courses under their respective category.

Thank you for looking into these things!

Could not replicate the italics issue. Can you try to replicate it on your side? I also use Firefox (on linux)
Category/course list: I think you already have this available, in the courses by category view.

While this is implemented in R0.91, personally, I would allow teachers to be shown in a staff directory even if a course is hidden. Some teachers are not even assigned to a course at times and should still exist in a staff directory. Some teachers are stand-in teachers / floating teachers who assist as and when required.
If the course is hidden, I would just not show the link to the course beside the teacher's name.
