Thank's for your work.

Depends on what you mean by the navigation. There are supplied modules which list the courses but not the entire course navigation. So I put the question back to you - which part of the navigation?

If you wanted the view in a module you will need to use a 3rd party component which displays components in modules. Have a look in JED and let us know how you make out.

No this is not possible at the moment. Even if you were to take the current Course Contents View (example below) and put that into a Module using a 3rd party extension, it would not appear like that. What you are looking for would need to be custom built. As you are the first to request such a feature, it is not currently on our development path. If you would like to sponsor such a development would could look at our priorities and move some things back. I have moved this thread to Feature Requests.

Hey Guys

I am new to Joomdle/Moodle and just in the process of bringing up a test demo...

I would also like to see a module that allows the user to jump to different sections of a Moodle course, which currently appear to be totally impossible to do. And I am surprised that not more people are asking for this feature... Currently the Joomdle Course Navigation module does allow the user to get to the top level of the course, however, it would be **GREAT** for this module to display the "section" of each course (pls see the attached screen capture from a Coursera course as an example). By being able to select each "section", the users can see the activities under each section, and that is sufficient for most of what I am trying to do. This is a critical feature for courses that have a lot of sessions under each section. And considering the best practices of having many short video lessons, having the ability to traverse through different sections and jump to different lessons nonlinearly is a necessity.

Thank you very much for your consideration. I look forward to your take.

SH

Hi.

Thanks for your suggestion, although I am not sure if I understand it right: you would want a module that shows all course sections, and on click it shows activities in that section, just like the navigation block does in Moodle?

Hi Antonio

The current course navigation module is very useful. I think most of the features are already there, it's just a matter of adding a few more:

1. right now the "content" shows the whole course page, and I am hoping to be able to create a page for specific section (not sure if this can be done in Moodle). So instead of go through the whole laundry list, users can jump directly to the particular section (ie, topic).

2. I like Coursera's set up, and I think with all the learners on their site, they have develop a best-practice, and it would be a shame not to "borrow" from them, so it would be great to have the following on the course navigation module:

a. discussion (forum...)
b. students (course mates, check!)
c. assignment

Thank you for considering my request!
