Hi Antonio,

I use joomdle with hikashop in www.insegnalo.it

Now I need to integrate the membership in the marketplace

But joomdle supports AEC & PayPlans while Hikashop supports Akeeba Sub :-(

According to my reasoning, membership must be guided by joomdle, because otherwise it is not blocked access to moodle, right?

So if this is so the only way to avoid double payment system is to be talked joomdle with Akeeba!

I saw that at this time it is not in the list of things to do.

I read though that there is a large interest for this, we could do a sponsorship with other interesting!

What do you think can be done?

thanks

Fabio

Hi Fabio.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I have never used akeebasubs+hikashop, so I am not sure how it works. Can you explain the double-payment yo talk about?

I will try to look into it to see if it can be integrated, but it may take a while, as I am quite busy this and next week.

Hi Antonio

I try to explain it.

At this time use Moodle + joomdle + hikashop for the delivery of the courses, free or paid.

The user enters through joomla, goes on the market of hikashop (pay with paypal) and is authorized by joomdle. OK?

At a time when the user pays hikashop issues an invoice with consecutive numbering.

Right now. I have to introduce the membership, in my boot at the moment I have two roads, both with problems.

1) I enable hikashop to membership (supports Akeeba Sub) the user pays and is authorized by joomdle ... but that happens at the end of the period of membership? Joomdle disables the user from the course, I think not!

2) I enable membership with joomdle and move the user who has to pay on AEC or PayPlans. The user is correctly enabled and disabled at the end of the membership. But what happens to the billing? I will have a dual-channel billing with a double numbering.

Between the two problems I think the latter is the least serious, because it is a problem of administrative / accounting ;-)

it is clear the problem! :-)

What can we do?

Thabks

Fabio

I understand your problem :)

I will try taking a look at this to see if an integration is possible, and let you know (not sure how long it will take me)

I agree with Fabio that AkeebaSubs is the best membership system for Joomla.

I was testing the implemention with Joomdle but the only I can get is access to the full site and not a course.

As I far I know, Hikashop is not need because AkeebaSubs provide all the tools to sell the membershipeven the EU taxes control and invoice. The same script has a module to show the different plans and you just select the desired and get suscribed. Even the invoicing is included.

The ideal workflow should be: select the course > select the membership plan > payment (many gateways included) > moodle enrolment.

Since the access control is under Joomla I don't see this control enable in moodle. Joomdle would enrol only the student in moodle as usual.

I'm sure that Nicholas, the AkeebaSubs developer, will provide Antonio with all the information needed to create a plugin for Joomdle. The list of actual plugins is really long and all the main scripts like Kunena or Jomsocial are already included and Joomdle deserves to be there also ;)

Ok, thanks for the input.

I went ahead and developed the required plugin.

Workflow cannot be as you describe, as it just works as with AEC and Payplans:
- Plan contains courses
- User buys plan -> he is enroled

If you are interested in testing, please drop me an email at antonio@joomdle.com and I will send it. I have only tested in J3, but I think it should work the same in 2.5.
