Users are created in Moodle without names was created by Jens Gammelgaard
Hi,

Thank you for your great work... I have upgraded my Joomla and Moodle and having an issue - where I hope you could help:

I am using your latest codes for Moodle and Joomla. I am using Moodle 2.2.3+ and Joomla 2.5.4.

I have just added the capabilities in Moodle for the webservice:

Missing capabilities: moodle/course:managegroups, moodle/user:create, moodle/user:viewdetails, moodle/user:viewhiddendetails, moodle/course:useremail, moodle/user:update, moodle/user:delete, moodle/site:viewparticipants, moodle/course:viewparticipants, moodle/role:review, moodle/site:accessallgroups, moodle/course:enrolreview, moodle/role:assign, moodle/course:view, moodle/course:update, moodle/course:viewhiddencourses, moodle/course:create, moodle/course:visibility, enrol/manual:enrol, moodle/site:sendmessage, moodle/notes:manage

- The System Health Check in your Joomla component shows:

Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle

- which is nonsense as it worked under your 0.7 component.

I did disable the firewall - it did not help...

- In the user area of your joomla component there is checkmarks for the right users synced, but in Moodle the account is created but NO first name and NO sir name is created.

Could you please advice me further? :)

Jens

Don't try any joomdle functions until system check is all green, as they will fail.

As for the error: check your multi-lang settings if necessary.
Also, do you have CB installed? There is a known bug with recent releases.

Hi,

Sorry - what do you mean with CB?

If it is Community Builder - then no I have not installed it.

How should the multi-lang be?

Is any SEF plugins in Joomla a reason to known errors?

Yes, I talked about CB.

Multi-lang setting should be configured in Moodle side if you are using the language plugin in Joomla.

Luke: please don't hijack other's posts, and open your own instead.

Thank you,

I assume this is the multilanguage setting you think about:

www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/multi-lan...-sites-in-joomla-17/

Could you please post how the settings should be configured as proven to work?

Under Webservices in System Check - I am getting this error now after activationg Multilanguage:

'Received empty response from Moodle'

Thank you for your courtesy. :-)

Yes, that is what I talked about. Did you have it disabled? Then leave it as it was, and in moodle side leave default language blank.

It is weird that now you get empty response, as that is coming from moodle, and has nothing to do with the lang plugin.

Hi,

Well - I can leave 'Sitewide locale' blank in Moodle - The default language has to be selected as it is in a drop-down menu.

It gives no change if I disable of enable the Multi-Language - as the System plugin...

Would it be possible for you to have a look at my setup - to locate the bug or reason for why this is happening?

Hi Antonio,

Very odd - now the message is: 'Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle'

- Is there a way to get local service on this issue? :-)

Cheers

Jens

Hi Jens.

Please write to development@joomdle.com for installation services.

When I talked about lang settings, I refered to lang setting in Joomdle plugin configuration in Moodle.
General Moodle lang settings have no effect on Joomdle
