Hi,

I am getting this error while connecting the joomla and moodle with joomdle.

XML-RPC Error (7021): The transport method not permitted

Specs:
Joomla 1.5.23
Moodle 1.9.16
Joomdle 0.8
Virtuemart 1.1.9

And more I am testing this in my localhost. Is it possible to do it or live sites only allowed.

Thanks in Advance.

You can install in localhost.

Usually the 7021 error is caused for not having the Joomdla IP in XML-RPC trusted hosts in Moodle. Did you add 127.0.0.1?

Thanks for your reply.

I have added "127.0.0.1" in Moodle XML-RPC hosts, When I click on the Users in Joomdle control panel at Joomla end getting this error. "XML-RPC Error (7021): The transport method you are trying to use is not permitted."

Please help me to resolve this.

Hi Antonio,

I have added 127.0.0.1 as in XML RPC hosts, but when I check users in Joomla administrator Panel I am getting the same 7021 error.

And also I tried to create new user at joomla end, but after register the same XML-7021 error got.

Any help would be very useful for me.

Thanks in advance

Try to add your server IP instead localhost.

I had the same error some days ago and was solved in this way.

Thanks for reply,

Where I need to add the IP of localhost.

In moodle networking->XML RPC hosts, I have added 127.0.0.1 and it converted 127.0.0.1/32.

And its showing the all users in joomdle component settings. I have added one test account to Moodle. So the user account is existed in Joomla.Moodle and also Joomdle users list. If I Login with that at joomla end, it have to be signon in Moodle and open the course, But I am not getting this, the Moodle course link is taking to Login section.

May I know how do I test the SSO property with joomdle.

Thanks in advance

See documentation: www.joomdle.com/wiki/Preparing_Moodle_19
Change the 127.0.0.1 for your server IP

Also set the "Use redirectless SSO" in Joomla to NO

The most simple test for me is to add an item menu to the Joomdle moodle wrapper. If you can open moodle, then it works fine.

You need to synchronize the users. Check in Joomla that the users are in both sites.

My opinion is that only Joomla should have the users. This avoid users bypass Joomla to login directly to moodle. But this is just an opinion. BTW, admin is the only not shared.

Thanks for reply.

The users are present in both the sites, I mean Joomla and Moodle. Joomla existing users are login in joomla section but not in Moodle. Same thing is for Moodle also. But The users status is indicating that, the user is existed in both the sides and also joomdle list.

Today I am getting again "XML-RPC Error (7021): The transport method you are trying to use is not permitted" error.

Please help me, why this error.
