Hi,

I just have the following installed:
Joomla 3.3.6
Hikashop Starter 2.35
Joomdle 1.0
Moodle 2.8.2+ (Build: 20150115)

I have the integration working, where courses added to Moodle appear in the Hika shops products.
I edited the product in Hikashop to reflect the pricing structure, and I added a URL link to the Moodle course.
I went through a "test" on my Joomla site store - the payment went through paypal, but there was no link provided to the Moodle course.
The user was created in Moodle from the Hikashop purchase - but no link to the course.
All I get is a message on the Joomla site (after it redirects back from paypal) to say Thank you for your purchase.

Can someone assist me to find what piece of this puzzle I am missing please?

Thanks

Have you set up any menu items or modules showing the courses? For example there are views for Courses, My Courses, My Grades, My Events, etc. Similar their are modules for courses or My Courses. If you only have one or a few courses you may create more specific views or articles that are only visible to paid customers / students. You can see the features here www.joomdle.com/wiki/Features

With regards to links in Hikashop, typically once a purchase is made customers / students would not normally, in my experience, return back to the cart to look for such links or instructions.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I will review the link you sent me.
Yes, I do have menu items set up - with all the hikashop products displaying (that were synced over from Moodle).
I have been having an issue with mail not sending from Joomla and I have now fixed this.
After the user has completed the purchased - the link is sent to the users email address - which I now have.
The problem I have now is that the link does not take the user to the course. The link is as follows:
cycleoflearning.com/administrator/index....task=edit&order_id=9
The user is only a registered user however - and so they cannot access this.

Any ideas on how to get the user access to the course?
Thanks

In the email, I would only include a generic message and/or a link to a generic article welcoming the student but that my personal preference. As above, I would use one of the views, one of the modules, and/or specific course articles. This all depends on your site design and what you want your students to do once they have enrolled.

As for the menu item linking to Hikashop (I assume under your Shop menu item), this is fine for shopping. IMO, I would not send enrolled students back there. I would have another menu item(s) linking to my personal courses. You may wish to hide this to non customers - again this is your site design. You can look at our demo, when you log in, you will notice the additional menu item.

There are many ways to welcome the student to the courses, this is all a matter of site design and how you want to market your courses. I would start by looking through the the Features to understand what is there and/or play with the demo a little. Note: The demo is running a very old version of Joomdle so many features are not available but it still provides a good starting point.

Which email is that? It seems it would be a Hikashop email. You should also be getting an email from Joomdle, where you can put the course URL. It is configured in Joomdle config in Joomla, shop section.

Thank you for your responses.
I realised that I needed to edit the Hikashop language file so that at the end of the cart process, the message that comes up gives the user a link to the "learning portal
" where they can now log in and gain access to the courses.

I have also edited the emails in Hikashop so that when the user receives the order created and order confirmed emails, there is a link the the learning portal there too.

I think that I need to follow Chri's advice and investigate different Joomdle menu items for different views and displays too.

Thank you for your assistance with this.
