[Solved] Adding users to courses using HIkashopproduct purch was created by LyndaGaiao
Hi,
I have my Moodle courses listed in the Hikashop.
A user selects a course they wish to purchase, and after the purchase they are granted access to the Moodle course.
In Moodle they are able to view the purchased course.
The user that was created in the Hikashop cart process is visible in Joomla and in Moodle.
However, if i as an administrator want to see what users are enrolled in this particular course, the user that just purchased the course and who has access to view the course does not show up under enrolled users.
Could someone please tell me how to automate this process as part of the whole cart purchase and access mentioned above.
Many thanks
Lynda

If user can access course, he should be listed in course enroled users. Sometimes Moodle takes a while to update things, although I don't think it does it in this case. Does the user show after a while?

Hi,
The user shows up in Moodle straight away, but if I got to the list of enrolled users for the course - they do not appear in the list.
They still have access to view that course - but are just not enrolled.
I have waited a couple of hours to see if the new user in Moodle is eventually added as an enrolled user to the course - but still not.

The users should show up in enrolled users in the course through the Moodle admin interface. Perhaps they are not really enrolled. Do you have guest or public access to the course turned on and thus why they still gain access?
Are you using one or two browsers for your testing? If you are logged into Moodle with your admin user and your student through Joomla, it may appear as though the student has access but not really because you are logged in with the admin. For this scenario ensure you are using different browsers for admin work and student work. Eg Chrome for student and FF for admin.

Hi,
I was using different browsers to test - but realised that I have guest access set to yes for this particular course.
So, after I turned guest access off - the user cannot access the course, as they are not enrolled.
How then do they 'purchase' the item through the Hikashop interface, and get enrolled into the course? I must be missing a setting somewhere??
I have been reading through past forums to see what other users have done and con confirm the following:
1. The System-Joomdlehikashop plugin is enabled.
2. The enrollment method for Joomdle is active in the course.
3. The user appears in the Joomdle user list as a Joomla, Moodle and Joomdle user
4. The order is auto confirmed inside Hikashop - I have tried to change the status to another status, save it and then re-save it as confirmed - but this still does not add the user as enrolled to the course in Moodle.
5. The system check in Joomdle has all the statuses marked as Green - no errors.
6. In Moodle site admin - plugins - enrollment plugins, the Joomdle enrollment method is set to allow Joomdle enrollments.
What else do I need to do to get the user auto enrolled in the course after purchasing it in the Hikashop list of products?
Thanks
Lynda

In Moodle, Plugins/Enrollments did you disable the manual enrollment? You will still need this enrollment method to be enabled.

Then I am not sure why you are having a problem.
If you would like to send a Joomla and Moodle login to development@joomdle.com we can have a quick look. Also if you could create 3 joomla users that have never logged in for our testing - it would be ideal.

Sure, thank you.
What level of access would you like me to create for the users?
