Event Booking - Add to group

Hi

I know the event booking plugin can be used to enroll an individual into a course once they have registered and paid for an event, my question is this is there a way to set the plugin up so that you can enroll an individual into a specific group in that course. Much the same way as what the "Hikashop Groups" plugin works.

There's currently nothing like that for Events Booking, although I guess it could be created, by using some parameter in the event to set groups? I have not really played much with Events Booking.
I will try to check it out next week, and let you know.

I looked into this, and saw that you can define new fields for event registration.

So, I guess we could:
- Create a new field for each plan, entering group values
- Add the field to the plan so that user has to select group on event registration
- Create a new plugin, like Hikashop groups one, that uses this info and enrols users to course and group

The problem I see here is:
- You can assing multiple courses to an event
- You show only a group select

So, if we were to develop this, I guess we would need to restrict it to use only one course per event, so that you can define the groups for that specific course.

Please let us know if you are interested, and we'll study it more to see if a new plugin can be developed.

Thank you for your assistance, I would be perfectly happy if we were to restrict it to only one course.
If one had the ability to create an event that has no user groups that could be linked to multiple courses and have the ability to create an event that could only be linked to 1 course but would add a user to a specific group in that course it would be perfect.

Thinking about this, I have a doubt. Do you want:
1) That users have a select field on event signup so they choose the group they want to be in
2) or be able to set a group in event configuration: ie: if you signup for this event, you get enroled in course A Group 1. If you signup for the other event, you get enroled in course A Group 2.

There is no need for them to select I want to be able to say Event A enrolls you into Course A group 1 event B enrolls you into Course A Group 2.
Preferably the user must not be able to change it at all.
