Hikashop and users' settings was created by Pierrick Le Brun
Hi, I wonder if the following is possible, and if so what would be the best procedure to follow.

This is the present situation:
1- I have a website with hikashop and something like 600+ users synced between joomla and hikashop. Those users are all in the registered Joomla group.
Many of those users have names and usernames that wont be recognized by moodle since they were created before I installed joomdle usercheck plugin.
So ATM old users can only log in joomla an not in moodle, but I don't mind since the only reason that they should log in moodle is if they buy a course through hikashop, which none of those older members did, and since many of them have incompatible usernames, it's better that way.
2- But now, if a brand new user registers in Joomla (now that joomdle is setup) he is also automatically created in Moodle as well, even if he has not purchased a Moodle course. And I would prefer that not to be the case. Is it possible to prevent this automatic registering in Moodle when registering to Joomla ?

This is actually the behavior that I want:
1- When a new user registers on my Joomla website but does not buy a course, I only want him to belong to the Joomla "registered" group and not be added to Moodle.
2- When anyone, whether old member, or a brand new user, buys a course, only then, he is added to Moodle as a student member and enrolled in the course he chose (And of course, if he is a brand new member, he also becomes a Joomla registered member).

How can I accomplish this ?

From what I understand, it is a straightforward procedure to do on Hikashop with their business edition which would enable me to assign users to different groups according to their purchase.

So what I need to know now, is whether it is possible for Joomdle to create a user in Moodle only when that user purchase a course, but not if he purchases any other item which has nothing to do with Moodle (like if he buys a digital book, for exemple)

Also, what are the settings to prevent Joomdle from creating a Moodle account for every new Joomla new registration (which seems to be my default settings ATM) ?

As you found, setting Auto create Moodle users to No will make Joomdle only create Moodle accounts when a user enrolls to a course.
